Wonderful place for a lunch time drink and a pie after a lovely walk in the countryside. Phil, the barman, couldn’t have done more to accommodate our large group. The service was excellent and the food delicious!

I had the calamari, then the lamb rogan josh, followed by the homemade cheesecake, all stunning!!
Staff were welcoming and super attentive.
Wine was fabulous. Had the sauvignon blanc and pinot blush, delish!
Restaurant was clean and modern yet cosy.
Completly enjoyable night. Will be going back again soon!

Brilliant country pub and restaurant. Made to feel very welcome and nothing too much trouble. Food was delicious and made from scratch- far cry from generic chain meals. Good choice for children and adults alike. Would definately recommend and be returning. Didnt use this time as winter but garden and play area for children looked fab.

Stopped here for drinks and the food looked that good had to have some food was delicious The pints were crisp And the two staff members on that night Sara and Phil were just the best couldn’t do Enough.

Excellent and friendly staff. They specialise in pies here, however, prices seemed OTT for what is a regular pub meal.

Had a lovely meal here - pie central. Service was ace & the pie options were plenty.
Very friendly, dog friendly (although ours stayed in the car). Would happily eat here again.

Great to pop in after 35 years, lovely old pub, plenty of space. Good food and very welcoming staff. Nice wine (unusual for a pub!)

Took my team from work here for a sunday lunch after a team building activity nearby. Food was excellent and the staff very pleasant and attentive, they also keep their Guiness very well. Thank you to the entire team at the farmers boy for a very enjoyable afternoon.

We were looking for a nice place to dine on a Thursday night. The pie selection was amazing we could barely decide what we wanted. It’s a very cosy place and the service was lovely.

Sunday lunch for nine of us. Waited over an hour and a half for food. When it arrived very small portions. Not hot . Very undercooked vegetables. Very disappointed. Bar staff did knock off drinks as a good will gesture. Would have all had puddings but after poor dinner went else where.

Pleasant location with a beer garden stocked with items to allow children to blow off some steam. The interior is clean and modern. Decent, well-kept beer. Good quality food, varied menu. We had the Sunday lunch sharing platter. It was very generous. Staff were attentive and approachable. Overall, a decent pit stop.
